Is Connex free?
Yes. Chat, alerts, the Edu library and SOS are free. Later phases like Connex Pay will charge per-transaction fees where that's normal — never for messaging or study material.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhone and Android. The app is in early access right now — email us and we'll get you onto the list for your platform.
Where does the loadshedding data come from?
Official schedule data is pulled automatically through the day and combined with reports posted by people in your area, so you see both the plan and the reality.
How does SOS actually work?
You pick trusted contacts; each one has to accept the link. When you press and hold the SOS button for three seconds, every accepted contact gets a push notification with your location. There's no charge and no call centre in between.
Do you sell my data?
No. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not "anonymised", not at all. The privacy policy spells out exactly what we collect and why.
When is Connex Pay coming?
Pay is Phase 2 on the roadmap, after the current modules are stable and audited. Wallets and money need to be done carefully, so we won't rush that date.
